Easter Island Run, Vancouver Island, BC

One of our newest Canadian club members invited us up to Vancouver Island during Easter Weekend to go wheeling north of Victoria. The ferry rides are a great time to take in the scenery and catch up with all the members, but one truck set off the high clearance alarm and had to pull his spare off the roof. Canada has some great wilderness and this trip didn't dissapoint. We ended up travelling alongside a river and catching soom food. Eventually we had to turn around on a new trail that was going from a tight rock trail, to an even tighter boulder trail. We met some of the local wheelers who showed us what kind of articulation was needed for some of the tougher trails in the area. That night we partied at one of the hotels and went out scouting the next day for trails. We didn't find a whole lot as we were in an area unfamiliar to our guide. We spent most of our time trying to cross a long snow covered road to another location. Unfortunately we ran into just enough depth that forced us to turn around.
